Our Approach
How Our Services Work
During our intake call, we will ask a few questions in order to guide you to the right support for you.
Creating a safe and trusting bond between client and practitioner is foundational. We prioritize our clients’ values, self-expression, and emotional well-being, knowing that these are important for personal growth.
We listen to get to the root of the problem and what you’re seeking. Our approach is collaborative, and we walk alongside our clients, providing a safe space to explore your identity and find comfort.
We want our clients to understand the techniques we use and how they support their progress. By involving clients in decision-making and fostering collaboration, we ensure treatment is tailored to their unique strengths and goals. We check in regularly and adjust as necessary.

Answers To Our Most Asked Questions
What are your fees?
We accept a range of insurance plans and also offer private pay options for our services. The fees for each service vary. For one-on-one sessions, fees can range from $60.00 to $130.00 per hour.
How do you decide if you are looking for group vs. individual services?
During our intake process, we’ll take the time to get to know you and explore what types of support would suit you best. Occasionally, formal assessments may be used, but everything will be clearly explained along the way. Once we have a complete picture, we’ll sit down together to discuss the services that may be most beneficial for you.
If group services appear to be a good fit, you’ll receive an invitation to attend a session to see how it feels. We prioritize your comfort and safety, ensuring you feel at ease in whichever option you choose. Individual services may also be recommended, and you’ll have all the details needed to make an informed decision. Sometimes, people try group sessions and realize they’re not quite ready, and that’s completely okay. Flexibility is at the heart of our approach, and we’re here to support you in finding the path that feels right.

What is the difference between Applied Behavior Analysis and Compassion-led Applied Behavior Analysis?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has come under criticism for its behavior-based approach to supporting individuals, which some argue is not client-centered. Autistic individuals have raised concerns about the harmful and traumatic methods used under traditional ABA methodologies. Although some techniques are only used with consent, limited behavior analysts ensure that assent is also obtained from clients who cannot legally give consent. Assent is a less formal version of consent that can be given by children or individuals who have cognitive differences that make it impossible for them to give true consent. However, some behavior analysts acknowledge the mistakes made in their field and aim to change their approach by employing a more compassionate method of providing support.
Compassion-led ABA emphasizes the importance of client and family input, taking a broad perspective that involves the whole family. This approach is more holistic and involves active listening, empathy, understanding, and kindness in providing support and intervention. Compassion-led ABA recognizes the importance of emotional well-being alongside behavioral progress. Unlike traditional behavior-focused methodologies, compassion-led ABA prioritizes empathy, ensuring a more effective and humane approach to supporting individuals.
What is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a compassionate and evidence-based therapeutic approach that is unique in its own way. Unlike traditional therapies, ACT does not aim to eliminate or suppress uncomfortable thoughts and emotions. Rather, it is a value-based therapy that focuses on cultivating mindfulness and acceptance to help clients change their relationship with their thoughts and other private experiences.
The ultimate goal of ACT is to increase psychological flexibility, enabling individuals to fully embrace and engage with the present moment and to commit to making behavioral changes that align with their core values. By encouraging clients to embrace their thoughts and emotions without judgment, ACT allows them to develop a greater level of self-awareness and acceptance. This heightened sense of mindfulness helps individuals detach from unhelpful patterns of thought and behavior, creating space for new, more adaptive ways of thinking and acting.
Through the targeted application of mindfulness and acceptance, ACT empowers individuals to live their lives with greater vitality and commitment. By guiding clients towards aligning their actions with their core values, ACT helps them move towards a more fulfilled and meaningful existence.
